Admittedly, I'm writing this five months later and piecing it together from pictures, but I'll get there. Off to NYC on a Sunday morning, into the city before noon after uneventful travels. Luggage dropped to the hotel (Motto by Hilton NYC Chelsea) and off to explore. Coffee, eats, tasty beverage, a bunch of walking, and then we decided to go to a show. We decided on a matinee of Shucked and I'm so glad we did, it was hilarious! Alex Newell - outstanding!

With no plans for day 2, we were winging it and decided on a boat tour around the island. It's been a long time since we've done one and the city scape has definitely changed. Plus it was raining, and that seems like a good thing to do in the rain... until it magically got sunny and I sunburned my nose.

We rounded out the day with some more random exploring, a trip to Chelsea Market for supper, some time visiting Little Island, and lots of walking.

Greg had to work our next day in NYC, so I did some exploring in Central Park and tested out a supplier tour of the Met. It's been years since I've taken the time to go in, so I was due. I spent spent some time there after the tour visiting some other things - you really can't see it all in one day. Once Greg finished working, he met me and we had some supper, tried some cookies from Levain Bakery (I'm not sure what the fuss is about honestly), walked around for a while, and called it a night.

One last day in NYC, Greg was working, and I decided to fill my soul with more art and headed to the MoMa. Walked around, found some lunch, and decided to catch another show. I went to see Six, kind of a concert style show about the wives of Henry VIII. I liked it, but I wouldn't rush to see it again - but some of the songs were catchy and the cast was really talented. Greg was feeling pretty shit by end of the day, so we found some supper and called it a trip. Trying to get home was a fiasco - our first flight was delayed enough that we would miss our connection and after spending more than 12 hours in airports and less than 2 hours on a plane, we gave up for the day once our new flight back to NB was also delayed and went to a hotel (thank you Hilton for the toiletries) for the night so Greg could rest. We flew home the next afternoon. Ange out.
